Who we are
This site belongs to The Agency Aruba, [legal entity name], registered with the Aruba Chamber of Commerce under [number], at Caya Taratata 3a, unit 12, Oranjestad, Aruba. For anything in this policy, write to sales@theagencyaruba.com or call (+297) 586 3350.
What we collect
Only what you hand us, and the little a web server records on its own.
- What you fill in. Your name, email address, phone number and your message. On the careers form, the CV you attach. On the silent listing form, the description of what you are looking for.
- Which page you sent it from, so the agent who answers knows what you were looking at.
- Server records. Your IP address and browser, kept by the web server in its logs, as every web server does.
Why we have it
To answer you. A property inquiry goes to the agent on that listing, an application goes to the office, and the rest goes to the people who can help. We do not build profiles, we do not score you as a lead, and we do not sell anything to anybody.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and the correspondence that follows stay with us for [period], because a buyer who looked last year often comes back this year. Applications and CVs we keep for [period] unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Server logs roll over on their own within [period].
Who else sees it
Three parties, and no others:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server this site and its database sit on.
- Our email provider, which carries the message from us to you.
- OpenStreetMap, whose maps we use. When a page shows a map, your browser fetches the map images from them directly, so they see your IP address. We send them nothing else, and no map loads until you open a page that has one.
The Agency is a network of independently owned offices. We do not pass your details to another office unless you ask us to put you in touch with one.
Cookies
We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics. There is nothing on this site that follows you to another one.
Your browser does remember two small choices locally: whether you prefer dollars or florins, square feet or square metres, and whether the thumbnail strip in the photo viewer is open. That is stored in your own browser, never sent to us, and disappears when you clear your browsing data.
Signing in to an account, when that exists, will need a session cookie. Without it nobody could stay signed in.
What you can ask us
To tell you what we hold about you. To correct it. To delete it. To stop contacting you. Write to sales@theagencyaruba.com and we will deal with it within [period]. You will not need a form or a reason.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection and the database sits behind the server. We cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong, because nobody honestly can. We can promise that if something does, you will hear it from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not change it quietly and hope you do not notice.
